Turkey

It's been a rough couple of months.

Stress from moving

Stress for renting out our home

Stress from Blaine's commute

Stress about the swine flu

Stress about economic collapse

But in the end, I have so much to be grateful for.

Especially this little girlie.

And I'm grateful for the perspective she gives me. Sometimes I think the only way I am making it through the trials of the last few months is with the perspective I now have of how truly precious life is.

It can be taken in a heartbeat, and I am so thankful it wasn't.

I love this little turkey.

Yeah, I so know what you mean. It's the same story as we have with our #3 Avery.
We went through a very traumatic situation with her where we easily could have lost her. Match that with the extreme life stresses that we were undergoing at the time, and we've always felt like Avery was our saving grace.
In fact, we thought her name should have been Grace. Instead, we dubbed her Avery Joy because despite the horrors we were going through she brought us joy beyond measure.
I'm so happy to hear that Ivy brings the same to you :)

Very cool post. You've definitely peaked my curiousity to past events. I'm glad it had such a profound affect on your life.

it is weird to say you are thankful for a near tragedy, but i know what you mean, watching my little boy fight for his life still humbles me every day, and every time i look at him it makes me grateful for him and for my life.
