A world away...

It's been a rough day. Our flight got in around midnight last night. We crawled into bed at 1:30AM at Blaine's parents house (bless. them.), Blaine woke up early and got to work and I loaded up the children (with the help of Blaine's mom!) and drove the lot of them home. There's been lots of crying, lots of fighting, and about two hundred poopy diapers.

Blaine is working till 11:00PM tonight

Gwen just peed her pants and while I was busy cleaning that up Bentley disrobed and relieved himself on my pant leg.

It's hard to believe that only 56 hours ago I was sitting in a beach chair with sand in my toes and with this as my view.

I had an amazing trip! I can't wait to write about it! But I've got urine soaked laundry to do and two very naughty children in the tub. Very. Naughty. Children.

I still love them though. I'm not denying that...but I may have loved them more from a distance.

: )

Hi - I've been a lurker for a while. I think Bart(?) mentioned your blog once or twice. Anyway, this is a "keeper" post - one of those that you can torment your children with when they get older. ;) I'm glad you had a lovely trip and survived the flights. Looking forward to hearing about your trip. I enjoy reading about your everyday trials.

I feel with you! Eric went to work at 7 this morning, and won't be home from classes until 10 PM. And since we know Jack has a milk allergy now and he hasn't got the week long flu, he also doesn't get his pacifier all day anymore which has made him very clingy and crying ALL MORNING LONG for his "passie" And in the midst of feeding Avey she had the worst blow out I have ever seen. both kids crying, changing her diaper and clothes, debating to give her a bath- deciding on a "wipe bath" finishing feeding her while Jack's still crying. Maybe I'll write my own post about it! :)

Oh, and your picture looks like it came from a magazine by the way.

It's always hard to make the adjustment from vacation to parenting with responsibility again! In Cozumel you were Blaine and Kristi and when you got home you are mom and dad with lots of stuff to do and take care of. I am so glad you had fun! Everyone needs a break!
