April Fools

Today I invited no less than twenty moms and their kids to join me for lunch at the park at 11:30AM.

And I didn't show up.

APRIL FOOLS to them! Ha ha ha ha

Except I didn't plan it that way. I got all of my kids ready, had a lunch packed, sunscreen on, sunhats out, diaper bag packed....got out to the car and then noticed that all of my carseats were gone.

Blaine took the kids somewhere yesterday and left the carseats in his car. Either that or he played me for a fool. If he did it on purpose he's a dead man.

Uh oh. My bad. No it wasn't on purpose (much as I may want to yell "April fools" right now...). Very very sorry to everyone involved and, I must say, kudos to you Kris for thinking safety first and not just taking them which is what I would have been very very tempted to do in your shoes.

That stinks. It reminds me of the night I was getting ready to go pick up a babysitter so I could go to book club (Jim was gone somewhere) and I had all the kids fed, in pajamas and two all buckled in the car when J.D. threw up in the laundry room and I then had to clean him and the floor up, get everyone unpacked, call and cancel the babysitter and call and tell the book club I wasn't coming, etc. It was a crummy night!!!

Is that why you called me and left a message of Bentley crying in the background?

Oh, Kristi. I have all the car seats you would have needed; I could have even dropped them off to you (except I wasn't invited;) No, just kidding. I wouldn't have gone anyway 'cause I wasn't feeling good enough, but I wish I would'a known so I could've helped you out!

Oh man! Anyone is invited to anything I ever do! Sorry I didn't get you the e-mail! It worked out alright in the end. The weather is beautiful, I wonder if people will show if I try again next week?

This is pretty much hilarous. Again another laughing out loud while reading a Krisi post moment. (And Eric was laughing too by the way!)
