Giddyup

It's happened. I am a Texan. I felt chilly yesterday. I came and looked at the temperature. Low 80's. Don't tell me I am going to be one of those lunatics wearing sweaters when it is 75 dgs outside.

In my defense my temperature decrease is more significant than most others. I lost my little internal combustion engine (Bentley), who I personally think added about 20 dgs of body heat.

Anyway, I am a Texan. [Don't worry Rose: I still don't think that Texas is the best place in the whole wide world or anything. . . so I guess the conversion isn't truly complete]

Don't worry, you will be wearing sweaters at 70 degrees... almost as bad as you've feared. Just you wait! Get ready for teeth shattering - you may be there soon! (If it even reaches 70 in Texas...?)

Well, growing up in Texas, I can tell you...Texas is the best place in entire universe to live!

I'm a friend of Meleah Ferguson's, and we lived in Texas for 5 years (1 in Houston--BLEH, and 4 in Round Rock). I must admit I'm a convert. Even though we now live back in Utah, I still brag 'til I'm blue in the face about the wonders of the Lone Star State. My 5 year old, who was born in Austin, is still convinced that Jesus lives in Texas. And my oldest daughter was convinced for years that the 4th of July, our country's birthday, was Texas's birthday, because, obviously, Texas is it's own country. Almost. Right?
I also laughed at your "leapin' lizards" post. Ahh, I miss the geckos! We had one come in our front door once and when I tried to pick him up to shoo him outside, he lost his tail and it wiggled, detached from his body on the tile for a good several minutes. Did you know they lose their tails when they're stressed and you grab them? Well, that can be your next lizard experiment.
Ok, sorry to jump in uninvited. I've enjoyed reading your blog. I told Meleah the other day that I always feel like a stalker when I comment on people's blogs who don't know me personally, but since we have a common friend, I hoped you wouldn't mind too much. Anyway, keep warm...

Kristi, how do you copy this stuff and send it to the Bark? You know all the Texas Bassetts would just be bustin their buttons to hear you speak this way about their beloved state!
