Long time no see!

I went to Costco with some friends yesterday. At the end of the trip we parted ways to go to our cars. I unloaded my cart and then went to put my basket in the little basket keeping area thing in the parking lot. The lady putting her groceries in her car that was parked next to the thing looked at me, then she did a double take and got a big friendly smile and was like "HI!!!!" and I looked over both of my shoulders and seeing no one looked back at her and responded, "HI!" then she looked me up and down and was like "I didn't know you were expecting" and I was thinking....I don't really know who you are! Anyway we proceeded to have a lovely conversation and I still have no idea who she was/is.

And I feel bad because no one has been that excited to see me in a long time.

Anyway, it's always nice to meet up with old friends, even if they're really new friends.

Oh man, I hate that sort of thing.

And how would you find out if you knew her? THERE IS NO WAY!

I know, I think there is a small small chance she may be in the part of our ward that split off, but even still....not sure!

She's gonna feel really bad the next time she sees whoever she thought you were and notices they're not pregnant anymore.

I so loved this post. In the words of Kermit the Frog, "There's not a word yet, for old friends who've just met." Stranger doesn't cover it, but strange may cover the feeling on your side of the conversation.

Ha Ha! Thanks for the laugh. I needed it. Why does this kind of stuff always happen to you? Nothing interesting ever happens to me.

Uncanny! That EXACT scenario happened to me in Smith's parking lot--yesterday too! Only the lady was saying "HI" from behind me as I was walking out to my car, and there were other people walking toward me so I thought she was saying hi to them. Even so, I turned around and smiled politely. Then she's all, "I didn't know you were expecting!" And it was only then I realized she was talking to me. Again, I think she might be from my old ward. WEIRD!!!! It's like the twilight zone or something. . .

Seriously, that is crazy.

p.s. I'd like to know whose job it is to come up with "word verification" words. There are some doozies.

Did she sound like she was Brazilian? Betsy and I saw Estela Valim leaving as we were gabbing out in front. Did you realize we were there with EIGHT children ages 4 1/2 and under??? And that's not counting the unborn. Kinda makes you glad you're just having one and not, like, SIX!
